Davao City's Smoking Ban 2.0 - Hard Headed Smokers Warning a million times!!!! Started Last May 31, smoking is only allowed in one's residences, private vehicles, and outdoor designated places.
Smoking outside of these areas is a violation of "The New Comprehensive Anti-Smoking Ordinance of Davao City", which will be strictly enforced.
This tough anti-smoking ordinance should make you nervous and be afraid. This is for your own health benefit and for the others.
As per the amended Comprehensive Anti-Smoking Ordinance, or Ordinance 0367-12, Series of 2012, getting caught for the first time would mean a fine of P1,000, and/or an imprisonment of one month.
A second strike would mean a fine of P2,500, and possibly an imprisonment of two months.
And for super hard headed, for a third offence mean a maximum fine of P5,000, and/or four months of imprisonment.
And not only that, the penalty won't be meted out to just the offender. The establishment where the smoker would be caught violating the ordinance in risks losing its business permit.
Scary isn't it? Yesss!!! Lets abide the law and this is for everyone health benefit.
